FAQ

What is the easiest way to try SourceMeld?

You can deploy SourceMeld yourself with a single command.

Can I self-host SourceMeld?

Yes, SourceMeld is available to self-host as a Docker container. Checkout the self-hosting docs to get started.

Where is my code stored?

All of your code remains on your machine. No sensitive data related to your codebase or queries is transmitted.

Anonymous telemetry data is sent by default to help us improve the performance and reliability of our tool. This can be completely disabled. Visit the docs for more info.

Is SourceMeld open source?

SourceMeld's core is licensed under a source-available license, which is not an OSI-approved Open Source license.

This license allows you to use, modify, and redistribute SourceMeld's core as long as you're not doing so in a product that competes with us.

If you're just using SourceMeld as a developer tool, your rights are affectively the same as they would be under an Open Source license. Please read the specific license more more information.
